The Xerox WorkCentre 3615 multifunction laser printer comes with copy, print, fax, and scan functions, and can also share documents via email. Of course, its most appealing aspect may be its fast output speeds of up to 47 pages per minute, despite its affordable purchase price. Unfortunately, expensive WorkCentre 3615 printer toner supplies somewhat negate this advantage, making it an expensive device to operate in the long run.

The 3615 is often referred to as the 3615DN, due to its duplexing and networking features. With automatic two-sided printing, users can conserve paper, and the included ethernet port allows for quick and simple sharing among several users. Even with such a wide range of features, the machine is fairly compact, measuring 21.6x19.5x19.4 inches, and it weighs 47.4 pounds, including the Xerox 3615 toner cartridge.

The 3615 has most bases covered when it comes to paper handling, with room for expansion as well. For scanning, it includes a 60-sheet duplex automatic document feeder that can handle two-sided originals with ease. It also includes a 550-sheet main paper tray and a multipurpose tray that can hold up to 150 sheets of alternative media types or sizes. A growing office will appreciate the ability to expand the paper capacity to a maximum of 2,350 sheets.

As with many laser models, affordability comes down to replacement toners, and this is where the model falters. Xerox 3615 toner supplies are some of the most expensive in its class on a cost per page basis. In fact, even with a yield of up to 5,900 pages for each WorkCentre 3615 toner cartridge, it is still expensive to operate.

Buyers will be drawn to the 3615 for its excellent multifunction features and its fast speeds, and for good reason. Unfortunately, the high cost of Xerox 3615 toner makes it a poor overall value for a small or mid-sized office.
