Xerox M15i Printer Review

When it comes to laser units with multiple functions, there are tons on the market. Some have only two functions, while others are considered ‘true' all-in-one devices and can perform four different functions. The Xerox WorkCentre M15i is a monochrome printer and digital copier. Monochrome means it can only print in black-and-white, so the one Xerox M15i toner cartridge that is needed for operation only holds black printer toner.

The WorkCentre M15i toner cartridge has a maximum print capacity of 6,000 prints. This should be enough to last small offices for at least a few weeks of consistent printing. When replacement toners are needed, OEM Xerox M15i toner can be purchased directly from the manufacturer or from a certified third party vendor online that may offer less expensive options. Compatible WorkCentre M15i toner is not available for this device yet, as it is a fairly new addition to the Xerox office multi-purpose line.

The paper trays on the M15i make up a 650-sheet paper capacity. Included in these trays is a 100-sheet tray that is designed to hold various media types, such as envelopes, labels and transparencies. There is a control panel that sits on the top of the unit and provides intuitive technology that allows users to navigate the system effortlessly.

Two of the most advanced features of the Xerox M15i are the duplex printing and networking capabilities. A duplexer provides dual-sided production and the networking give multiple users the ability to share it. The monthly duty cycle is 15,000 pages per month, which is a bit small for some offices but will suffice for many. Using the Xerox M15i toner, as many as 16 pages per minute can be produced. This device will improve overall printing and copying productivity in a work place while occupying only a small space.
