Xerox C165 Printer Review
The Xerox CopyCentre C165 is a digital laser copier with a modular design that promotes expansion and upgradeability. It can be configured to include optional faxing, and it can reach impressive output speeds of up to 65 pages per minute. It is also a very affordable solution, thanks to inexpensive Xerox C165 toner replacements.
A duplex automatic document feeder is included as a standard feature, and it has a capacity of up to 75 sheets for fast scanning and processing. In fact, the unit is capable of scanning up to 75 images per minute, meaning it could clear the entire tray within one minute. With support for sizes up to 11x17 inches, users also get a lot of flexibility.
The device is generally designed to operate in standalone mode, but a front USB port does provide the ability to download Auditron tracking data and other information, as well as upload updates. The large touchscreen makes navigation simple, and users get full control over the queue, with the ability to rearrange, prioritize, and stop jobs at will.
Upgrades are available for offices that are growing and expanding. The initial paper capacity can be upgraded to a maximum of 4,800 sheets that should be enough for even high-volume office environments.
Xerox C165 printer toner cartridges come in packages of two that can provide up to 90,000 pages before needing more replacement toners. Combining that with the relatively low cost of CopyCentre C165 toner cartridges, this puts the cost per page at a small fraction of a penny, and makes CopyCentre C165 toner very cost-effective for high-volume use.
While some buyers will still need a more robust multifunction device, the CopyCentre C165 is an excellent solution for fast, efficient, standalone copying. Adding fax functionality could enhance its value for some users, but it is already a very capable device in its basic configuration, and savings on Xerox C175 toner will have a positive effect on office budgets.
