This system does not need to warm up a fuser for each printing job. Instead, the Xerox 8560 ink is melted when printing. The Xerox ink system also produces crystal clear text down to 4 point size with no discrepancies. Although inkjet models start as low as $100.00, the extra money you spend is well worth it. Phaser 8560 ink sticks also tend to be more affordable than cartridges, compared to the price of the manufacturers older Phaser 8400 ink. It also shares its ink configuration with Phaser 8550 solid ink, saving money for the customer. The large capacities of Phaser 8500 ink gives it an affordable cost per page, but users looking for even lower costs per page should look at the cost of Xerox C2424 ink for comparison.

Printing overall is one of the best in its class. Even black against a grey-scaled background has no bleed. The color printing speeds are as fast as black and white documents printed using a laserjet unit. This is due to the unit only taking a single pass to apply color ink instead of four passes like a laserjet. Print speeds are as fast as 30 pages per minute, but average around 17. All of the models can be used with the Usage Analysis Tool to collect print job data, color usage, and the organization of said data making tracking and planning simple.

The main differences in the 8560 and 8560MFP printer is that the MFP is an all in one machine. These models have automatic duplex printing standard, except the base model, as well as a two sided document feeder. The Xerox Phaser 8560MFP has the same print speed as the Phaser 8560 printer with the added copy, fax and scanning capabilities.
