However, it offers fast speeds and high quality at an affordable price that will fit the budgets of most users. Upfront, the 7500 comes with 512 MB of RAM, but that can be upgraded to 2 GB if needed.

Four Xerox 7500 toner cartridges are needed in conjunction with this machine, and they are filled with black, cyan, yellow and magenta printer toner. With the Phaser 7500 toner, resolutions as high as 1200x1200 dpi can be reached, and those will leave your documents looking sharp and professional. Duplex printing comes standard as a feature, as well as an automatic document feeder that can hold up to 100 sheets.

Speed is a big selling point on this high ticket item. When using black or color Phaser 7500 toner cartridges, speeds of up to 35 pages per minute can be reached. The first page out using black or color toners will print in 7 seconds. For a laser machine this size, these speeds are quite good. There are faster units on the market, but those machines don't have Xerox 7500 toner that can reach a resolution of 1200x1200 dpi.

Plain paper, glossy paper, labels, transparencies, envelopes, cards, banners and cover paper can all be printed on. Though the Xerox 7500 toner may seem pricey upfront, the overall cost per page is much less than competitive products. It connects via USB and ethernet, and Windows, Mac, Solaris and Linux operating systems are all compatible.
