The Xerox WorkCentre 7428 is a large color laser printer made with big businesses in mind. Able to print, copy and scan, it offers a lot more options than the standard printer. Though faxing isn't included as a standard, it can be added for those who need it. Because emailing has taken over the sending and receiving of messages, many units just aren't built with the option anymore. For most offices, this shouldn't be a deterrent. Faster than previous models, it can push out 28 pages per minute using Xerox 7428 toner. The first page out for black-and-white prints is even faster at 5 seconds. Using color Xerox 7428 toner it takes about 6.5 seconds for the first print. For even faster speeds, consider the 7435. Upgrades can also be made to the amount of memory included, and 75 sheets of paper can fit in the automatic document feeder.

Able to produce 105,000 pages every month, large offices should be taken care of. Up to 5,140 pages of paper can be stored inside at one time. Duplex printing comes standard, as well as features like collation, transparency separators and job interrupt. There are also finishing options included too, like stapling, hole-punching and booklet making. For some offices, these features will be an excellent addition.

Cyan, magenta, yellow and black Xerox 7428 toner cartridges are needed for printing. The black printer toner can last up to 26,000 pages before needing replaced, and the color toners last 15,000 pages. The cost per page using the WorkCentre 7428 toner is rather impressive.
