This is series of black and white and color laser printers. Two series divide Xerox Phaser 740 color laser printers, the Xerox 740L and the Xerox 740. The Xerox 740L comes as a black and white printer with the ability to add color later if you need to. Simply purchase the additional component and install and your monochrome printer becomes a high quality color workgroup printer. The printers print at 5 pages per minute for color documents which is on par with most printers in its class. Monochrome documents print faster at 16 pages per minute.

What the Xerox 740 printer may lack on speed for some, it redeems itself with impeccable color documents with built in calibration, and intelligent color correction produces the same consistencies in shades and hues every print every day. Photo image printing is possible with the 1200 by 1200 dpi resolution inherent in the printer's design. Xerox toner cartridges arrive with a new Xerox 740 series printer. They can, however, be replaced with high capacity cartridges and save a bit more on ink and toner.

Manage and monitor usage stats by user, group, and color on any printer on the network right from your desk; you can easily track the level of toner cartridges page counts, media types and print job information as well.
