It weighs about 30 pounds, meaning it is not exactly portable, but it can be moved by one person if needed. The output rate that can be produced is 16 pages per minute. When it comes to quality, this unit competes with other models in its class. When printing in full color, the Xerox 6220 toner can reach a maximum resolution of 2400x600 dpi. If only the black Phaser 6220 toner is being used, though, the highest resolution that can be reached is 1200x1200 dpi.

There are four Xerox 6220 toner cartridges that are used in this machine. A starter set of toners is supplied by the manufacturer, but the yields are minimal. When the first set of replacements is needed, they can be found online or from local office supplies stores. Each color Phaser 6220 toner cartridge has a page yield of 1,000 prints and the black can produce up to 2,000 pages before expiration. OEM and compatible Xerox 6220 toner is available, providing the same quantity and quality, but the OEM if far more expensive.

The input paper capacity is 1,600 sheets and an automatic duplex unit will cut paper costs. There is a built-in 10 GB hard drive and a 512 MB memory. Overall, the 6220 should be perfect for a small office.
