Xerox 5665 Printer Review
Of the three speed options in its model line, the Xerox WorkCentre 5665 multifunction laser copier may be the slowest, but it still provides up to 65 pages per minute, which can best much of the competition. It can be configured with a number of different feature sets, but all benefit from a large paper capacity and the low cost of Xerox 5665 printer toner that make it such a robust and affordable solution for heavy workloads.
Available as an advanced standalone copier, or with printing, scanning, and faxing capabilities, the 5665 seems built from the ground up for high-volume use. It has a maximum monthly duty cycle of 250,000 pages, and a first page out time as fast as 2.7 seconds.
The unit includes a standard 80 GB hard drive for storing documents, which can eliminate the need for constant rescanning of the same popular memos, for example. It also features a very large 100-sheet automatic document feeder with duplexing. The standard input paper capacity starts at 4,700 sheets, and can be upgraded to as many as 8,700 sheets for the office that needs extremely high volumes of daily output.
Even at this maximum, however, the WorkCentre 5665 toner supply could last for several days before replacement toners are needed. A package of two Xerox 5665 toner cartridges provides up to 90,000 pages of output, yet the price of WorkCentre 5665 toner cartridges is still very affordable.
Although the 5665 is the slowest of three models, it also hits the sweet spot of affordability and fast performance that many buyers will appreciate. It has the same features as its faster siblings, and the affordability of Xerox 5665 toner makes it a solid long-term value.
