If the office needs a monochrome laser all in one unit for large volume production, the Xerox WorkCentre 4260 could be a solid choice. Able to produce about 250,000 pages monthly, it should meet the needs of most businesses perfectly—if not exceed them. It has a size of 205 pounds, which will be almost impossible to lift and will require multiple people to do so, and its size of 39.4x26x46.1 inches will require a large space. The 4260 comes standard with 256 MB of memory, but if needed, memory can be upgraded up to 512 MB. It has a warm-up time of 73 seconds, but its first page out time using Xerox 4260 toner is fast at 5 seconds. Windows, Novell, Solaris, Linux and Mac operating systems are all supported by the 4260.

Only one Xerox 4260 toner cartridge is needed that can last up to 25,00 prints. There are high capacity versions of the WorkCentre 4260 toner that can last for 80,000 prints. Replacement toners are easy and affordable to find. This printer toner can produce resolutions up to 600x600 dpi and 55 pages per minute printing or copying. The scanner only reaches resolutions of 600x600 dpi for black documents and 300x300 dpi for color documents.

The copier has the ability to reduce and enlarge documents anywhere from 25% to 400%. Up to 999 copies can be made from an original document with the help of WorkCentre 4260 toner cartridges. Automatic duplex printing is standard, and the copier also has features like fit-to-page, auto tray switching, booklet creating and ID card copy. The fax machine has a transmission speed of 33.6 Kbps, and PC faxing is available. Resolutions as high as 600x600 dpi can be reached with Xerox 4260 toner, and fax forwarding features and automatic redialing are also standard. A junk fax barrier comes included upon purchase.
