As laser printers have become more affordable, they have become a more viable solution for home and small office users who want the quality and speed without the high price tag. The Xerox Phaser 3320 is a great example, as it provides up to 37 pages per minute of speed, while users benefit from its low upfront cost. Xerox 3320 printer toner prices can be a little high, however.

The standard model is the 3320DN, which includes automatic duplexing (two-sided printing) and wired networking support. The 3320DNI model has the same features, but also adds wireless capabilities, which allows it to be shared without the need for messy cables. This also makes a good solution for laptops and other wireless devices such as tablets.

While not as compact as some home devices, the 3320 takes up a small footprint, measuring 10.1 inches by 14.4 inches by 14.5 inches, with a weight of 21.8 pounds. The initial paper capacity is 250 sheets, with a 50-sheet bypass tray that folds out for envelopes, transparencies, and other alternative media types. Somewhat rare for such a compact machine, it can be expanded to an impressive 820-sheet capacity by adding an optional paper tray upgrade.

One of the best reasons to choose a laser printer is the savings on toners, but Xerox 3320 toner cartridges are a bit more expensive than some of its competition. The Phaser 3320 toner cartridges have large capacities of 5,000 for the standard size and 11,000 for the high-capacity size, but prices are a bit on the high side. Still the high yield of the Phaser 3320 toner will reduce the average cost per page.

The 3320 has the speed and compact design that make it a good buy. Home users who want higher-quality output from a very affordable machine will like it, but be prepared to spend a little extra on Xerox 3320 toner over time.
