Xerox 275 Printer Review
As the middle model in the series, the Xerox WorkCentre 275 multifunction laser printer has more features than the simple CopyCentre model, but not the advanced features of the WorkCentre Pro model. The result is a machine with a lot of functionality, but still a fairly affordable price tag. Since all models in the series use similar designs for toners, Xerox 275 printer toner is also quite affordable.
The 275 adds printing and scanning capabilities to the mix, with print speeds of up to 75 pages per minute, and also includes an 80 GB hard drive for document storage. This can be particularly useful for accessing common documents without the need to rescan and copy. Faxing is also available as an option. The 600 dpi print resolution is not as impressive as the 1200 dpi of the upgraded WorkCentre Pro model, but should be quite adequate for general office use, and the price difference is significant.
The unit supports automatic duplexing to conserve paper, and a toner save mode that reduces the amount of WorkCentre 275 toner applied to each page. A 75-sheet automatic document feeder supports duplex scanning as well, and can process up to 75 images per minute for very fast performance.
Buyers used to spending a lot on supplies will be pleased with the low cost of Xerox 275 toner cartridges. Packaged together in a two-pack, one package of WorkCentre 275 toner cartridges can provide up to 90,000 pages of output, so users won't be burdened with replacing the Xerox 275 toner too often, either.
With a maximum duty cycle of 250,000 pages per month, the Xerox 275 is capable of handling serious workloads, but still features an affordable price for its basic configuration. With fast speeds, low operating costs, and a solid feature set, this model is a good value for medium or large office environments.
