Xerox 265 Printer Review
The Xerox WorkCentre 265 multifunction laser printer offers a little less speed than the 275 model, but also a lower price. It still benefits from affordable Xerox 265 printer toner prices, and it offers a very impressive speed of 65 pages per minute, with a quick first page out time of around 2.7 seconds.
The 265 has a 75-sheet automatic document feeder capable of handling duplex two-sided documents. It also includes a flatbed scanning platen, both of which are capable of scanning originals at up to 11x17 inches in size. An 80 GB hard drive is also a nice touch, and gives users a place to store and retrieve documents without the need for a computer when needed.
If the 265 seems a bit unremarkable in its base configuration, it is the numerous upgrades that can equip it for increased functionality and larger work environments. The initial paper capacity of 1,200 sheets can be upgraded to a whopping 4,800 sheets for offices that have outgrown their previous needs. Other upgrades include finishing options like stacking, folding, and stapling that can save a lot of time when preparing large documents or booklets with numerous steps that often require a lot of manpower.
When it comes to the cost of toners, Xerox 265 toner cartridges don't disappoint, with a large-capacity design that won't need replacing too frequently. Each two-pack of WorkCentre 265 toner cartridges offers up to 90,000 pages, and the cost per page of WorkCentre 265 toner is near the low end of its class.
Buyers who want a middle ground between the high price tag of the WorkCentre Pro model and the limited features of the CopyCentre model will find it in the WorkCentre 265. It offers the same quick speeds, great multifunction features, and affordable Xerox 265 toner without breaking the budget.
