Xerox 265 Printer Review
With fewer features than its multifunction cousins, the Xerox CopyCentre 265 laser copier might seem less appealing, but for those who want a simple and fast dedicated copier, its low price and affordable Xerox 265 printer toner will still hold appeal. It can reach fast speeds of up to 65 pages per minute, with optional faxing capabilities.
The 265 doesn't have the scanning and printing functions of the WorkCentre models in its series, but it does focus on fast performance and improved workflow. It has multi-tasking built in, allowing users to scan ahead one task while another is finishing, for example, or fax a document while a copy job is running, though faxing is an optional upgrade.
A large 75-sheet automatic document handler is included for scanning, with support for duplexing for fast and automatic copying of two-sided pages. Paper handling is quite robust, with a combination of two 550-sheet drawers and a 100-sheet bypass tray, and it is upgradeable to a maximum input paper capacity of 4,800 sheets to handle extremely large workloads.
The 265 is quick to respond, with a first page out time as low as 2.7 seconds. It can also scan up to 75 sheets per minute at an interpolated resolution of 4800x1200 dpi for very accurate results.
Since the design of toners is the same across the entire model line, this brings the cost of CopyCentre 265 toner cartridges to a very affordable level. Packaged together in groups of two that can provide up to 90,000 pages at a low price, the Xerox 265 toner cartridges are a cost-effective solution for high-volume copying. CopyCentre 265 toner is also generally easy to find from multiple vendors.
For offices that prefer to separate tasks among discrete devices, the CopyCentre 265 is an excellent solution for copying and faxing. Its impressive speed and high-quality scanning make it a great value for the price and savings on Xerox 265 toner can lower an office's monthly expenses.
