The Sharp MX-3115N multifunction color laser printer takes most of the same features of the impressive MX-3110N model and shrinks down a few features for a more affordable purchase price. It still provides up to 31 pages per minute, however, and uses the same affordable toners that make the other model so affordable to operate.

With the alternate model number of MX-3115, the "N" denotes its network scanning and printing features, which are formidable. Users anywhere on the network can easily and quickly send their documents for printing, while also monitoring the level of paper and Sharp MX-3115N printer toner, and even the print queue and other aspects, right from their PC.

The network scanning features are even more impressive, giving users a number of destinations to choose from, including email addresses, USB flash drives, network drives, and more. In fact, the digital document processing features of the MX-3115N tend to make up for the lackluster 600 dpi printing resolution, and help to make it a better overall value.

While the 7-inch touchscreen display has been shrunk from the MX-3110N model's larger version, it still offers intuitive control over major features and options. Although not as fully-featured as its larger brother, the Sharp MX-3115N is still a very powerful machine in its own right. The 600 dpi engine could be limiting for those who print a lot of photos or graphics, but its low purchase price and affordable consumables make it a device worth considering.
