With a large paper capacity and quick speeds, the Sharp FO-6700 laser fax machine provides users more than they might expect from such a compact package. Costs for Sharp FO-6700 printer toner are some of the lowest in its class, and it won't take up too much space in an office environment.

The FO-6700 has a small footprint for tight spaces, measuring 10.75x16.25 inches. It is a little heavy, at just under 50 pounds, but this includes the Sharp FO-6700 toner supply. Some of the extra weight comes from its expanded paper supply, as it can support up to 1,250 sheets of input. This includes an adjustable tray that holds 250 sheets and two 500-sheet drawers.

At the top of the unit is a large control panel rather than a flatbed scanner, but a 50-sheet automatic document feeder is provided as a bit of a tradeoff. On the large control panel users also benefit from no less than 48 buttons for speed-dial numbers, which makes for quick access to frequently called numbers.

It is worth mentioning that both printing and copying are possible with this machine. Neither is very full-featured, and is mostly added as convenient afterthoughts.

When toners need replacing, the low cost and high capacity of Sharp FO-6700 toner cartridges are major benefits. Users will go a long time between replacements, with each Sharp FO-6700 toner cartridge offering a yield of around 6,000 pages, which keeps the cost per page low.

With the speed of a Super G3 model and a very large paper capacity, the Sharp FO-6700 is about as impressive as a compact fax machine can get. It is ready to handle large volumes and it will still be a very cost-effective solution for smaller office spaces.
