The DM-4551 base model is commonly referred to as the DM-4551N for its network printing functionality. The DM-4551S adds scanning, while the DM-4551F also adds faxing capabilities, rounding out the major functions for a more comprehensive office solution. The scanning feature especially is worth the upgrade, with great digital workflows that have the added benefit of reducing the amount of Sharp DM-4551 toner and paper used.

Whether for scanning or copying, the 50-sheet automatic document feeder comes in very handy, and it can scan a two-sided sheet in a single pass for faster speeds. For input, the unit comes with a capacity of 2,000 sheets, which should be enough for high-volume use without the need for constant refills.
