Sharp AR-P350 Printer Review
The Sharp AR-P350 is a network laser printer that drops the multifunction features and just focuses on fast, efficient output. It can reach speeds of up to 35 pages per minute, with network sharing built right in. Sharp AR-P350 toner is affordable to replace, and a number of expansion options can enhance its abilities.
The printing engine of the AR-P350 is limited to 600 dpi, but for standard office documents, the gain in speed is likely worth the tradeoff. Sharp also claims that the smoothing technology provides the equivalent of 1200 dpi output. A duplex module can be added for two-sided printing, though this isn't included with the AR-P350B base model. For those who want a bit more flexibility, they can add a duplex module that also includes a 100-sheet bypass tray for alternate media.
Paper handling starts out fairly small, but with a lot of room to grow. The base model includes a single tray of 500 sheets, but several different paper drawers can be added, including a 2,000-sheet drawer, for a maximum total of 3,100 sheets. For output finishing, buyers can add a finisher, a mail bin stacker, and even a saddle-stitch finisher.
The single Sharp AR-P350 printer toner cartridge has the capacity to support a large office without needing frequent replacements. Each Sharp AR-P350 toner cartridge can provide around 27,000 pages before expiring, and compatible Sharp AR-P350 toner is available from third-party sellers at a lower price.
In a market full of multifunction devices, it might seem a bit strange to consider a dedicated network printer. Nevertheless, the Sharp AR-P350 reduces the complexity by focusing on a single task and its expansion options and affordable toners make it an excellent value for the medium or large office environment.
