Sharp AR-M350 Printer Review
The Sharp AR-M350 multifunction laser copier is a great machine to build on. It starts with a fairly small paper capacity, but a solid output speed of 35 pages per minute. Buyers can order it pre-configured as the AR-M350N, AR-M350N+, AR-M350NB, AR-M350U, AR-M350U+, or AR-M350UB, each with a different combination of printing, scanning, faxing, and paper capacity features. Best of all, each model uses the same inexpensive Sharp AR-M350 toner.
The base model does not support duplexing, which might make the upgrade worth it for the savings on paper supplies. Otherwise, the base model starts with a decent paper capacity of 500 sheets, with upgrades available for a maximum of 3,100 sheets. Adding the automatic document feeder upgrade for duplex scanning will be particularly important if the network scanning feature is added.
Copying is very robust, with the ability to make up to 999 copies from a single original, and the zoom range of 25-400% offers a lot of flexibility. Network scanning is particularly useful, and may be a sufficient alternative to faxing, especially considering the simple scan-to-email feature. Entering an email address into the touchscreen control panel is easy, and the unit can even access the office address book.
Replacing toners is not only quick and easy, but affordable. Sharp AR-M350 printer toner cartridges are some of the most affordable in its class. Each Sharp AR-M350 toner cartridge can provide around 27,000 pages, so they won't need to be replaced on a frequent basis, even under heavy load.
The AR-M350 is more than just a powerful copier, and its printing and scanning capabilities will come in just as handy on a daily basis. Intuitive controls make it easy to use, and its many upgrade options can help buyers tailor it to their liking, or choose one of the pre-configured models to save the trouble.
