Sharp AR-F152 Printer Review
The Sharp AR-F152 is similar to other laser copiers in its model line, with the added bonus of faxing capabilities. Although faxing is a bit slow, its output speed of 15 pages per minute is impressive for the price, and Sharp AR-F152 printer toner is very affordable, with large capacity supplies.
The AR-F152 is designed for desktop use, though it is a little on the bulky side compared to all-in-one inkjet models. It measures 18.3 inches tall, with a footprint of 20.4x19 inches, so it should be easy to share a desk with in most situations. Its weight of 57.3 pounds could be a little more of an issue for some buyers, but this does include the Sharp AR-F152 toner cartridge and drum, at least.
The faxing function is adequate enough for most home users, though its 14.4 model takes around 6 seconds per page transmitted. For light-duty faxing, however, it won't be too much of a concern. The extra control panel on the top of the 50-sheet document feeder makes faxing and copying both easier, as the lower control panel tends to be very cramped, with only a minimal offering of controls.
Sharp AR-F152 toner is surprisingly affordable, and comes in large capacities to help users save money. Toners are easy to replace, and each Sharp AR-F152 toner cartridge has an estimated yield of around 6,500 pages.
Compared to similar models in its class, the Sharp AR-F152 doesn't have the most affordable upfront price, but low-cost supplies and a solid feature set make it worth a look. Buyers who want high-quality printing and copying should find it appealing, but those who do a lot of faxing might find its slow transmission speeds a bit of a disappointment.
