Savin MP 9002 Printer Review
With some of the fastest printing and copying speeds in its class, the Savin MP 9002 multifunction laser copier is clearly aimed at the fast-paced office environment. It can output up to 90 pages per minute, and easily handles duplexing for two-sided output. The capacity and price of Savin MP 9002 printer toner is impressive, and it is easy to customize the machine to users' needs.
The MP 9002 base model includes the basic copying function, with the option to add printing, scanning, and faxing capabilities with upgrades. The MP 9002SP model, on the other hand, includes scanning and printing as a package, and is a better value that adding these functions at a later time. Both models use the same Savin MP 9002 toner, however, for the best cost savings.
The machine can print at a maximum resolution of 1200 dpi, though copying is limited to 600 dpi. The automatic document feeder can handle duplex input, and up to 150 sheets at a time. This is especially useful with the scanning function, allowing users to convert a lot of paper documents to digital at a fast pace, at up to 176 images per minute, even when scanning in color. Nice bonus features include the ability to print from mobile devices with specialized apps, and a number of security features to help keep documents locked down.
Spending too much on toners can ruin the value of a good multifunction machine, but Savin MP 9002 toner cartridges are very affordably-priced. The standard paper capacity is 4,300 sheets, and the capacity of the Savin MP 9002 toner cartridges is up to 43,000 pages, so users can empty the entire paper supply up to 10 times before they will need to replace them.
With a standard configuration that offers the basics, an upgraded SP model with most of the functionality a large office would expect, and upgrade options for the future, the MP 9002 is a very versatile machine. Its upfront price may be a little steep, but low operating costs will help to make up for it over time.
