Savin 9080 Printer Review
With copy speeds of up to 80 pages per minute, the Savin 9080 laser copier comes in faster than many of its competitors. When configured as a multifunction device, as the 9080sp, it also includes printing and scanning functionality to make it an even more complete solution for a large office. The cost of toners is economical, as Savin 9080 printer toner has a large capacity and low price, and the unit has a first page out time of only 3.5 seconds a warm-up time of just 60 seconds, so users can get started quickly.
When it comes to the digital document side of things, getting paper converted quickly and easily is becoming increasingly important to the modern business. The one-pass duplexing automatic document feeder can handle up to 80 two-sided scans per minute in black and white, or 55 scans per minute in color. Scanned documents can be stored on the internal hard drive for later access, or even sent as an email attachment. Once a good workflow for scanning has been established, it can be saved for later use with the optional GlobalScan NX software.
The internal hard drive combined with excellent server software gives the 9080 the tools to manage practically every aspect of an office's document workflow. User accounts can be set up for secure storage and access of files, and frequently-used files are ready for fast on-demand printing.
The machine features a 1200 dpi resolution and the maximum paper capacity is 8,300 sheets. The capacity of the Savin 9080 toner cartridges is rated at 43,000 pages, which means users won't be replacing Savin 9080 toner too often, even in a large office. Compatible Savin 9080 toner cartridges are also available at lower prices than OEM versions.
With a large 8.5 inch display, a solid array of multifunction features, and incredible printing speed, the Savin 9080 is an ideal solution for a large office with a need for a digital workflow. Its bulky design and high price tag are its only minor disadvantages.
