The Samsung CLP-363 is a color laser printer with fast speeds, but slow response times. It can print at up to 18 pages per minute in monochrome and 4 pages per minute in color, but its first page out times are 14 seconds and 26 seconds, respectively. Personal users will love its compact design and affordable price tag, however, and the Eco mode helps users save on Samsung CLP-363 printer toner.

In addition to its slow response times, there are a few limitations to the CLP-363. Its input paper capacity is only 150 sheets, with no upgrade options available. The output tray can only hold 50 sheets, as well, so printing long documents will likely require emptying the tray periodically. These are mainly tradeoffs for the unit's compact design, however, as it measures only 12.2x15x8.3 inches. With a weight of only 21.7 pounds, which doesn't include the Samsung CLP-363 toner cartridges, it is also easy to unpack and move around.

While the control panel is simple, it provides a few interesting features. The Eco button helps reduce the usage of Samsung CLP-363 toner per page, while the One Touch Print Screen button helps users quickly print whatever is displayed on their computer monitor. The included software features the Easy Color Manager to help manage color profiles to better control output.

Samsung CLP-363 toner cartridges can provide up to 1,000 pages each in the standard versions. The starter toners supplied with the machine are a bit more limited, supplying only 700 pages for black and 500 for each color.

The Samsung CLP-363 is impressive with its compact frame, affordable price, and solid speeds. Buyers should be aware that there may be waiting before a task begins, and they will have to rely on software for most advanced tasks, but it is still a great value for an individual user.
