Ricoh CL7300 Printer Review

Heavy workloads and fast paced business was in mind when Ricoh designed the CL7300. The printer series, available in a few different models, is a workgroup color laser printer with a 733 MHz processor. This allows you to print large and complex documents quicker and with less waiting for that first page to print. Unlike personal printers, such as the LaserJet CP1518 toner, your first page is printed in a blazing 11 seconds, and prints monochrome graphics at around 30 pages per minute. Color is rated at the same speed and has great clarity at a maximum resolution of 1200 by 1200 dpi.

Text is presented in deep black and shows little signs of distortion, but smaller font sizes may present some variations. The Ricoh Aficio CL7300 has toner cartridges located within an access panel. The panel isn't too difficult to remove and the toners are fairly simple to replace, unlike Phaser 6300 toner. Accepting various forms of media is essential for a large workgroup. This series of printers accepts banners, glossy finishes, envelopes, transparencies and a few standard types like legal and letter. You can store print preferences, color schemes, frequently printed forms and documents and additional fonts. A print server is standard on the CL7300DTS model as well as USB and ethernet connections which are available on the other models as well. A standard sheet capacity of 2,100 may not be enough for a demanding business; you can expand this to 3,100 with addition trays and feeders.
