The Ricoh Aficio C3500 color laser printer is designed for fast-paced office environments. Its blazing fast speeds and multiple upgrade options allow it to handle any task that may be required. Economical toner costs give it a low cost of ownership.

The design of the Ricoh C3500 color laser printer could nearly be described as modular, given its wide array of upgrade and expansion options. Nearly every aspect of the unit can be upgraded or expanded to accommodate greater needs. Paper capacity can be expanded from the initial 1,200 pages to an impressive 3,200 page for the largest offices. Output capacity can be expanded as well, and a number of finishing options are available as upgrades, such as stapling and collating.

Networking is included, allowing it to be connected directly to an ethernet network. The unit includes a robust processor, 1 GB of RAM, and even an 80 GB hard drive, allowing it to act as its own print server, managing tasks and storing documents. Users can access its built-in web server remotely.

There are multiple configurations available. The C3500 is the base model, while the C3500SPF and the C3500EFI add more paper capacity, faster processors, and different finishing options.

Ricoh C3500 toner cartridges have large capacities, resulting in low costs per page. Each color laser toner cartridge has a capacity of 17,000 pages, while the black printer toner cartridge has a capacity of 23,000 pages. Users can stretch more from each Aficio C3500 toner cartridge by using the toner save mode, though there is a small loss in quality.

Print speeds are extremely fast, as both black and color prints print at a rate of 35 pages per minute. Graphics and photos are very detailed, and text is sharp.

Overall, enterprise-level offices will find a lot to like in the Ricoh C3500, but its high price tag will limit its appeal for smaller offices.
