Okidata MB760 Printer Review
As the slower model in its lineup, the Okidata MB760 multifunction laser printer is still quite fast, at up to 49 pages per minute. It has a decent paper capacity for small offices, with upgradeability for larger environments. Like similar models, however, the cost of Okidata MB760 printer toner is disappointingly high.
Along with a fast maximum speed, the MB760 is fast to respond to a new task, printing the first page in as little as 5 seconds. The 100-sheet automatic document feeder is surprisingly large for such a compact design, but it will come in handy when working through large stacks of paper documents. Users will have several options for sharing their digital scans, including email, network folders, and a front-mounted USB port for flash drives and other storage devices.
A 9-inch touchscreen display takes up most of the control panel, and for good reason. Its intuitive menu system makes for quick and simple control of the machine's different functions. There are also dedicated buttons for the scan, copy, fax, and print features. A Toner Save button can also enable the feature to help reduce the usage of Oki MB760 toner, while the automatic duplexing feature can help reduce paper usage.
Unfortunately, the Toner Save feature may not be enough to keep it affordable, as toners are expensive to replace. The Okidata MB760 toner cartridges do have the advantage of large capacities, each providing a yield of around 18,000 pages. Although this means replacements are few and far between, it can't negate the high cost of each Oki MB760 toner cartridge, however.
There is a lot to like about the Oki MB760, from its quick speeds to its bright, full-color display. It is a good fit for office from small to medium in size, but its purchase price is higher than its competitors, and so is the cost of supplies.
