The desktop-friendly Okidata C310dn color laser class printer uses LED technology instead of a laser for fewer moving parts, but still offers similar performance, at speeds of up to 24 pages per minute. It also offers network sharing, but it is a bit bulkier in size than some competitors, and the cost of Oki C310dn printer toner might be a bit much for small offices to handle.

The unit measures 9.5 inches tall, with a footprint of 16.1x19.8 inches, so it is a little on a bulky side for a "desktop" printer, though its weight of 46.3 pounds is manageable. The control panel on the top of the device consists of only a two-line backlit LCD, directional menu buttons, and On Line and Cancel buttons, with a Ready light and Attention light. Users do get an indication on the screen of the level of Okidata C310dn toner remaining. This simple design works fairly well for a dedicated printer, as most of the options are set in the driver software on a PC.
