Newer inkjet printers have four separate containers of ink, which actually eliminate a lot of waste. With the tricolor option, when one color runs out, the rest of the other two must be wasted. The black Lexmark Z703 ink cartridge can print up to 600 pages, while the colors can only print 275 pages.

People who do not know much about maintaining a printer may not realize that remanufactured printer ink is an option. This is a type of Lexmark Z703 ink, and has been refurbished. Even though it was already used once, the moving parts have been replaced and ink has been refilled. These tanks are guaranteed to work just as well as OEM versions, they are just a bit lighter on the wallet.

Overall, this small fry has a big heart and has served quite a purpose for so many users. Though it can't offer duplex printing, wireless options or even scanning, it does the job it was designed to do. The average person should be completely content with the performance of the Lexmark Z703.
