Home users and small office users who want an office-friendly multifunction machine but also excellent photo printing should consider the Lexmark X7350. It has all the full-featured office functions a user could need, and better photo quality than most competing models, all at a very affordable price. Print speeds are up to 19 pages per minute for color and 25 pages per minute for black. The high cost of Lexmark X7350 ink is its biggest downside, and if the budget it limited, consumers may was to look at iP3300 which uses affordable Canon CLI-8M ink.
Unlike many of Lexmark's most affordable multifunction models, the X7350 is not exactly ultra-compact. In fact, it is one of the largest they produce for home and small office use. It measures 14.9 inches by 10 inches by 17.6 inches, and weighs 17.18 pounds. Users with very tight spaces might look elsewhere, but its footprint is still relatively small. Lexmark X7350 inkjet cartridges come in two sizes, standard and high-yield. The high-yield Lexmark X7350 ink cartridges have a lower cost per page, but unfortunately, both sizes fall short of other kinds of ink such as Brother LC61C ink.
The unit can print, scan, copy, and fax. Its fax feature is particularly robust, including a lot of unexpected features such as call waiting disabling and junk fax blocking that are usually only available in more expensive machines. The result is a very full-featured machine for office use that is still very easy to use. Still, the machine is relegated to a single user environment, as neither wired nor wireless networking are included, though both are available as upgrade options.
In their review of the Lexmark X7350, PC Magazine praised its low price and long list of office features. They also praised its excellent photo quality, though they disliked its lackluster text quality and expensive ink costs. For users that need better text documents and require less expensive ink, perhaps look at the Dell 922 which features Dell M4640 ink.
Overall, the Lexmark X7350 is a solid choice for a home or small office user with serious business needs. High ink costs and lack of networking capabilities may be a problem for some users, however.
