As many as 25 copies can be made in a minute, with a limit of 99 copies per order. Resizing options are available for duplication and the flatbed scanner saves documents with a 48-bit color depth and an internal resolution of 1200 dpi, ultimately resulting in copies that are true to the original. The LCD that sits on the top panel of the machine makes it fairly simple to adjust settings and flip back and forth between functions.

Quality is essential from an office printer, and the S415 does not disappoint. When using only the black printer ink, the resolution is 2400x1200 dpi, which will leave text documents assertive and clear. When using all four colors of Lexmark S415 ink, a maximum resolution of 4800x1200 dpi. Speed is another important factor. After extensive testing, this inkjet unit proves to be as fast as many laser printers with a speed of 35 black-and-white pages per minute. Even the speed of the full color prints is impressive at 30 pages per minute.

There are four Lexmark S415 ink cartridges that are used during operation and they hold cyan, magenta, yellow and black printer ink. The low-capacity versions can yield 200 pages each, but high-capacity Lexmark S415 ink cartridges can yield 700+.

There is a 256 MB RAM, 330 Mhz processor and a 100-sheet input tray all built-in to improve productivity in the office. The connection options range from wired to wireless, networking to direct digital camera hook-up, and even allows users to print from handheld devices.
