Lanier LD145 Printer Review
Unlike some standalone copier models, the Lanier LD145 multifunction laser copier comes with network printing and scanning as standard features, and buyers have the option of adding faxing and other features as well. Its print and copy speeds are impressive, at up to 45 pages per minute. An internal hard drive provides storage for digital documents to help reduce the usage of Lanier LD145 printer toner.
The unit is alternately referred to as the LD145sp to denote its scan and print functions, and despite its excellent functionality, the unit is not overly bulky. In fact, in the standard configuration, it occupies a fairly compact footprint. It includes two 550-sheet paper trays and a 50-sheet bypass tray, and an optional paper bank and/or large-capacity tray can boost it up to 3,550 sheets.
One of the biggest time-savers of the machine is the reversing automatic document feeder, able to handle up to 80 sheets at a time and make two-sided scans and copies with ease. The LCD touchscreen makes navigating menus and features much easier. Scanning features like Scan-to-Email can virtually replace the need for faxing, while saving on paper and Lanier LD145 toner at the same time.
Lanier LD145 toner cartridges have very large capacities of 30,000 pages each, so users won't find themselves replacing toners on a regular basis. The purchase price for Lanier LD145 toner cartridges is also impressively low, which translates to a cost per page that is lower than most in its class.
While the Lanier LD145 ticks all of the important boxes of output quality and speed, what might be even more beneficial in the long run is its low operating costs. Combined with duplexing to save paper and advanced scanning features, an office could significantly reduce costs while also improving workflow.
