Kyocera Mita FS-920 Printer Review
The Kyocera Mita FS-920 is the perfect laser printer for midlevel offices on a budget. You would think because it's so inexpensive to maintain and own that the quality of the documents would decrease, but that is not the case with this machine. It is capable of high quality black-and-white text, graphics or photo documents. Its speeds are also decent, and the machine is capable of printing up to 15,000 pages each month. Mac, Windows and Unix operating systems are all supported, and it can connect via USB or ethernet hookup. Due to its monochrome nature, only one Kyocera Mita FS-920 toner cartridge will be needed.
The speeds on this machine are pretty good. The warm-up time is only 16 seconds, and your first page out will take about 11 seconds after you press print. Using the black Kyrocera Mita FS-920 toner, up to 19 pages can be produced each minute. It can even print legal sized documents at a rate of 15 pages per minute. Though there are definitely machines out there that can work a lot faster than this, most of them won't have such high resolutions or be so inexpensive to maintain.
Using the black Kyocera Mita FS-920 toner, resolutions as high as 1200 dpi are possible. This will produce documents that are not only high quality, but that are sharp, precise and professional as well. These Kyocera Mita FS-920 toner cartridges can last you about 6,000 pages too, which means you won't be spending much time changing printer toner. These toners are as inexpensive to purchase as they are easy to find. If you want to save even more money though, you can always purchase remanufactured versions from third party vendors. Remanufactured toners can cut the cost of ownership tremendously, making it possible for even the smallest budget offices to own and use a professional machine like this.
