The Konica Minolta magicolor 4650 is a color laser printer made with large workgroups in mind. Weighing in at 73.3 pounds, buyers aren't going to want to haul this around too often. The weight and 18.5x21.1x15.2 inch footprint make this magicolor best suited for midlevel offices. Although it doesn't offer wireless printing like some of the competition, it does offer ethernet, parallel and USB connective option. Compatible with Windows, Linux, UNIX and Novell operating systems are all compatible with the 4650, meaning that it is versatile enough to work in a number of offices.

Because this is a color laser printer, it will need four Konica Minolta 4650 toner cartridges for operation. The toners needed are black, cyan, yellow and magenta. Each of these magicolor 4650 toner cartridges will last for 8,000 pages before replacements will be needed. Most likely, users won't need to replace printer toner too often.

Using the Konica Minolta 4650 toner, resolutions of up to 9600x600 dpi can be created. For text and graphics prints alike, these resolutions will prove to be more than enough. The first page out using Konica Minolta 4650 toner can be produced in about 14.5 seconds, which isn't as quick as similar units but probably won't keep users waiting too long. The processor holds 500 MHz, and upon purchase 256 MB of RAM are included. For those who need a little more RAM, that can be upgraded at anytime to 768 MB.

The magicolor 4650 toner can print wonderful, high quality documents on assortment of media types. Cards, transparencies, envelopes, labels and post cards can all be printed on, as well as plain paper and glossy paper. The smallest media size supported is 3.58x5.83 inches, while the largest document supported is 8.5x14 inches. Up to 350 sheets can fit into the machine at one time.
