Inside there are six HP T790 ink cartridges. They are filled with cyan, magenta, yellow, matte black and photo black printer ink. The last DesignJet T790 ink cartridge is filled with gray printer ink. Replacement HP T790 ink can be found easily online or in stores, and from third party vendors these inkjet tanks are even more affordable.

The DesignJet T790 ink prints perfectly on many types of media. Bond paper, coated paper, heavyweight paper, matte paper, technical paper, vinyl and indoor paper are a few of the many media types supported. There are different types of paper supported too—like rolls of paper and individual pieces. Windows and Mac operating systems are both supported, as well as Linux. When using the HP T790 ink tanks pages take around 39 seconds to print out, meaning you can probably create about 103 prints per hour when the fastest setting is used.
