The HP PSC 2355 ink printer is a mid-priced AIO meant for home users and amateur photography enthusiasts. The machine measures 17.3 x 14.3 x 6.8 in and weighs 12.1 lbs. It supports a host of media cards including SmartMedia, CompactFlash, Memory Stick, MultiMediaCard, SD Memory Card, and xD-Picture Card. PictBridge compatibility means that you can print without routing the prints via your PC.

The HP 2355 ink cartridge has a monthly duty cycle of 3000 sheets. The input tray can hold up to 100 sheets at a time and supports a maximum document size of 8.5 in x 24 in. You can print on cards, labels, envelopes, plain paper, photo paper, transparencies, and iron-on transfers. The copier is capable of issuing 50 copies at a time. It can enlarge and reduce documents to 400% and 50% of the original size, respectively. The HP 2355 inkjet cartridge AIO uses 4-color printing technology with optional 6-color printing for color photographs. It uses the HP 94 Black and HP 95 Tricolor cartridges.

The 1.8-inch color display enables preview and editing of digital pictures. The HP Image Zone software that accompanies that PSC 2355 lets you edit images and also print from video clips. These are useful features meant to serve the photography hobbyist who seeks to tweak and print his digital photo every once in a while. This AIO does not offer duplexing, networking, faxing, or have an ADF, which is understandable as it is not an office-oriented machine. This PC and Mac compatible device connects via USB.

The HP PSC 2355 inkjet machine performs reasonably well on the speed front. It gives a good account of itself as far as text prints are concerned. Color graphics and scans both suffer from low contrasts. Color photo prints are of passable quality.
