The HP LaserJet P2035n laser printer is designed for individual or small office use. It has fast print speeds of up to 30 pages per minute, with a first page out time of up to 8 seconds, making it one of the fastest LaserJet toner machines in its class. Its relatively compact size and weight of only 23 pounds make it a great choice for small spaces. The unit is compatible with Macs as well as PC's, which is increasingly becoming a requirement as Macs become more common in the workplace.
The HP P2035 laser printer, also referred to as the P2035n, has an included toner cartridge, USB 2.0 and ethernet connections, allowing it to be easily networked among multiple computers. It also includes an embedded web server, allowing users to manage print jobs and settings from any computer on the network.
While the unit doesn't include automatic duplex (double-sided) printing, it does allow for manual duplex printing. The software will walk users through the steps necessary to feed the paper back into the machine in a way that will result in double-sided prints. This is a good workaround to allow a budget model to have the features of a more expensive model without the added cost. Given that many users will never need duplex printing, it is a good tradeoff.
Paper capacity is quite good for the size of the printer. The main paper tray holds 250 sheets, and the multipurpose tray holds an additional 50 sheets, for a maximum capacity of 300 sheets. Print quality is excellent.
HP LaserJet P2035 laser toner cartridges have a capacity of 2,300 pages per laser toner cartridge. The single black printer toner cartridge is easy to replace. HP P2035 toner cartridges have cost per page that is a bit high, even when compared to color models, as the cost of Konica-Minolta 2300 toner results in a similar cost per page for black, and adds the benefit of color printing.
Overall, the HP LaserJet P2035n is a great choice for individuals and small office environments who need quality and good speed, but don't necessarily need high-volume printing or color. Home or home-office users who have the need for high-quality laser printing and the occasional long multi-page document may find it a good fit.
