The HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP M630 is a multifunction laser printer series that offers quick printing, scanning, and copying, with various options for faxing and networking as well. It can print at speeds of up to 55 pages per minute, but expandability might be its best feature. Adding extra features and paper capacity is easy, and although HP M630 toner supplies are expensive, they have a low cost per page.

Several models in the MFP M630 series are available. The MFP M630dn is the base model with duplexing and networking, the MFP M630f adds faxing, the MFP M630h adds extra paper capacity, and the MFP M630z includes all of the above. The base model starts with one 500-sheet paper tray and a 100-sheet multipurpose tray, but all models can be expanded, up to a maximum of 3,100 sheets. This leaves a lot of room for future growth.

The unit has a versatile appeal, as the base model measures only 22.4x29x25.3 inches, so it can even fit in a very small office. Its weight of 114 pounds could be an issue for some users, but this does include the weight of the LaserJet Enterprise M630 toner as well. Those considering models with traditional faxing should consider that every model includes a Scan to email feature that is more efficient, higher-quality, and helps save paper and toners at the same time.

Speaking of supplies, the standard HP M630 toner cartridge has an estimated yield of 10,500 pages, offering a decent cost per page. The high-capacity LaserJet Enterprise M630 toner cartridge is even more cost effective, with a yield of 25,000 pages, but also has a hefty price tag.

Although each model of the HP M630 series is very capable right out of the box, it is especially appealing for buyers who expect future growth, thanks to its many upgrade options. With fast speeds and sharp print quality, however, users will benefit greatly from day one.
