Able to produce up to 8,000 documents every month, the HP LaserJet M1536 is an excellent monochrome laser machine for small offices. Able to print, copy, scan and fax it offers nearly everything a small to mid volume office could desire. Speeds are decent, printing at 25 pages per minute, and the first page out only takes about 8.5 seconds to be created. The fax even operated quickly, sending and receiving fax documents in less than 3 seconds per page. The copier can create up to 99 copies from an original document, while the fax can hold up to 120 numbers into its speed dial. The fax also offers junk barriers that can be enabled at anytime.

The one HP M1536 toner needed is black, and it will last about 2,100 pages before needing replaced. That black printer toner makes resolutions of 600x600 dpi possible. This will leave documents looking professional and sharp. Faxes will produce with resolutions of 300x300 dpi.

As far as reviews go, most customers rate the unit relatively high. Most find that it offers excellent print quality, thanks to HP M1536 toner. The ease of setup and ease of use are both applauded often, and most also like how quickly the M1536 can operate. It's been called both fast and efficient, and no one can complain about the sharp details of result. The only big complaint seems to be the cost per page of printing using LaserJet M1536 toner. A few have noted that it is a little noisy though too.

If cost per page is important when buying a unit, consider using remanufactured HP M1536 toner cartridges.
