Small offices needing a multi-functioning monochrome laser printer may want to consider the HP LaserJet M1120. Able to produce up to 8,000 pages every month, small offices will find that their needs are easily met. With a weight of only 19 pounds, most buyers will be able to lift the petite unit with ease, and finding a spot in the office will be simple too, because the M1120 makes only an 18x14.5x12.7 inch footprint. The only problem with this machine may be location—generally the only place it can be found is Latin America. Unlike many similar models, it also doesn't offer expandability of RAM. Upon purchase 32 MB of RAM are included. Copying, scanning and printing are all supported. Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems are both compatible with this unit.

Inside of the monochrome unit, buyers will find only one black HP M1120 toner cartridge. This black printer toner will last buyers at least 2,000 pages before needing replaced. Using the black HP M1120 toner users can reach high quality resolutions as high as 600x600 dpi for printing and copying. Speeds are decent at 19 pages per minute for black-and-white documents. Though those aren't the fastest speeds out there, most will be satisfied, especially since so much versatility is offered. Buyers can print labels, envelopes, transparencies, cards and standard documents using the M1120.

There is also a black MICR LaserJet M1120 toner cartridge available. MICR toners make it possible for users to produce high quality barcodes and checks with magnetic readability. MICR LaserJet M1120 toner is only sold in a remanufactured form from third party vendors. This magnetic HP M1120 toner, as well as the standard option, will last just as long as the OEM standard product and maintain the same high quality.
