Built for the busy office environment, the HP LaserJet Enterprise M806 laser printer can reach speeds of up to 56 pages per minute, and its paper capacity is upgradeable. It comes in several different models to fit users' needs, but expensive LaserJet Enterprise M806 printer toner will limit it to larger offices with a sizable budget.

In addition to the base model, the M806dn variation includes automatic duplexing and ethernet networking. The M806x model adds additional paper capacity for a maximum of 4,600 sheets. Buyers who think they may eventually need the extra paper capacity should consider that the M806x model is more affordable than upgrading the base model. Other upgrade options include a stapler/stacker, a booklet maker, and other finishing options.

The M806 includes a 4.3-inch color touchscreen display, which makes it very easy to control. With the HP Web Jet admin feature, administrators can easily keep tabs on multiple machines in an office, viewing information like status updates and the remaining level of paper and HP M806 toner. Other cost-saving features include Instant-On technology, so that users can get up and running quickly from sleep mode without wasting power when the machine is not in use.

As with so many large office machines, the unit suffers from expensive replacement toners, as the price of HP M806 toner cartridges will be beyond the reach of those with smaller budgets. Each LaserJet Enterprise M806 toner cartridge can provide around 34,500 pages of output, but the cost per page is still high.

The M806 isn't the fastest model in its class, and its base model is somewhat limited. The upgraded M806x model is a better choice for busy offices, but the high cost of HP M806 toner combined with mediocre speeds, it isn't the best value for enterprise offices.
