HP L7710 Printer Review

The HP OfficeJet Pro L7710 all-in-one inkjet printer is aimed a little more toward the small office than home users, as it provides a solid set of business functions, but still produces good photo quality. Its fastest settings can provide up to 35 pages per minute, but better quality settings will be slower. Separate colors of HP L7710 printer ink are also a nice addition, and running costs are fairly low.

Measuring 17.5x20.9x19.1 inches, the L7710 is certainly larger than the average home inkjet all-in-one, mainly due to its large paper handling and the automatic document feeder, which is capable of holding up to 50 sheets at a time for rapid scanning. It weighs about 40.8 pounds, including the OfficeJet Pro L7710 printer ink supplies, so it is a little heftier as well. The input paper capacity starts at 250 sheets, but an optional 350-sheet tray can be added.

Users have a choice of connecting the device via USB, ethernet, or even wireless, with an available Bluetooth adapter as an option as well. Both Windows and Mac platforms are supported, and media card slots and PictBridge port on the front of the machine are great for direct printing, while the 2.4-inch display does an adequate job of previewing images and documents.

The large capacity of HP L7710 ink cartridges is one of the unit's better features, even the standard supplies. High-capacity OfficeJet Pro L7710 ink cartridges are also available, offering up to 1,700 pages for each color and 2,450 pages for black.

Offices that don't want the expense of a laser model, or want an inkjet model for its better photo output will be very pleased with the L7710. Its fast speeds and inexpensive HP L7710 ink make it a solid choice for the small office buyer.
