HP K60 Printer Review

There are multiple inkjet printers in the K series, and one of the original models is HP OfficeJet K60. This unit can copy, scan and print in black and white or color. It has a monthly duty cycle of 2,000 pages, which will be plenty for most users, especially those seeking a printer for personal use. Small offices will also enjoy the K60, thanks to its speed and quality. Using only black HP K60 ink, up to 12 pages can be printed per minute and as many as 10 pages per minute can be printed in color.

There is a built-in memory of 8 MB and USB and parallel connection. Using PhotoREt II technology, which is designed to automatically enhance the resolution of images, professional-quality pictures are printed every time. The two HP K60 ink cartridges contain high quality printer ink that lasts for years and dries quickly as to avoid smudging or running.

The black OfficeJet K60 ink cartridge can yield a resolution of 600x600 dpi, and the color can reach only 600x300 dpi. Black can copy at the same resolution and make up to 99 copies from an original. The scanner uses integrated OCR, or Optical Character Recognition, which converts scanned text into editable text. Using either HP K60 ink, the scanner can reach a resolution of 600x1200 dpi, and it has a 24-bit internal color depth.

Even though this inkjet printer has a decent capacity for high-volume jobs, replacement tanks of OfficeJet K60 ink are readily available. New ones are available from HP and remanufactured or compatible options can be found online from third party vendors. This printer ink will produce the same clear and professional results but will cost half the price of OEM tanks.

The market is full of many printers designed for small office efficiency, but the HP OfficeJet K60 also provides features that appeal to personal users.
