The HP OfficeJet J6424 offers buyers nearly everything they need and more in an all in one unit. Printing, copying, scanning and faxing, this inkjet unit hardly lacks anything, and it even offers wireless printing. USB hookup and ethernet connection are also available, and Windows and Mac both are compatible as well.

The printer and copier primarily use only two OfficeJet J6424 ink cartridges; however a third and fourth printer ink are available for photo printing. The standard tanks are black and color, yielding 200 pages and 170 pages, respectively. The two optional HP J6424 ink cartridges house photo color and photo gray printer ink, and they yield 130 pages and 80 pages, respectively. Considering the monthly duty cycle of 5,000 pages, these tanks won't last long.

The best way to alleviate the expense of replacement ink is to buy remanufactured ink tanks from third party vendors. This HP J6424 ink exerts the same great quality and has the same yields as the product from the manufacturers. What's the difference? They cost only a fraction of the price. With these tanks of OfficeJet J6424 ink, there is no reason any office couldn't afford the luxury of such an elite inkjet printer.

Not only is the printing impressive, the other features are too. The scanner can create resolutions of 4800 dpi, and it has a 48-bit color depth. The copier—like the printer—can produce about 31 pages per minute using only black HP J6424 ink, and using color it can produce 24 pages per minute. If that isn't impressive, take a look at the fax speeds—a page can be faxed in less than 3 seconds. It also has a memory of 100 pages and a 100 number speed dial.
