HP J6410 Printer Review

With a very low upfront cost of around $200, the HP OfficeJet J6410 is an excellent all in one. Copying, scanning, printing and faxing at fast speeds and with high quality. Complete with wireless connectivity and an automatic document feeder, this inkjet unit makes setup and usage easy. It has a 5,000 page monthly duty cycle, an input tray that can hold 250 sheets and an output tray that can hold about 50 sheets of paper. This thermal inkjet unit is compatible with Windows or Mac, making it simple to add to any office environment.

Though only two HP J6410 ink cartridges are needed for use, two printer ink tanks are optional. The standard tanks are black and tricolor and the optional tanks hold photo color and photo gray ink. For those who do extensive photo printing, these optional tanks are a great way to get the highest quality photo images. The only problem all of the tanks is their low yields. The black OfficeJet J6410 ink cartridge can only yield 200 pages, while the color yields about 170 pages. However, high capacity versions of the printer ink are available and can yield 520 pages (black) and 750 pages (tricolor). The photo color and gray HP J6410 ink tanks can only yield 130 pages and 80 pages, respectively. When in use, the photo Officejet J6410 ink simply takes the place of the standard ink.

With the help of the black HP J6410 ink, about 31 pages per minute can be copied or printed. With color, about 24 pages per minute can be printed or copied. These speeds are fast, as is the faxing speed—each page only takes about 30 seconds to be faxed.
