Offering high quality for a low price, this unit will keep buyers happy, while fitting the needs of the business. Printing, copying, scanning and faxing, it's hard to figure out what the J3608 can't do. Also, 1,000 pages can be printed monthly. It does all of these functions using only two HP J3608 ink cartridges—one black and one tricolor. The tricolor OfficeJet J3608 ink cartridge consists of cyan, magenta and yellow printer ink.

Using the black OfficeJet J3608 ink, resolutions 1200x1200 dpi can be obtained when printing or copying. A resolution as high as 4800 dpi can be reached with color printer ink. The copier has the ability to copy 99 duplicates from an original document, and it can reduce and enlarge documents from 25%-400%. The copier also offers fit-to-page and pre-scan features that will make copying simple.

With only black HP J3608 ink, 30 pages per minute can be copied or printed. Using the color ink, 24 pages per minute are possible. These speeds are pretty high, compared to other inkjet units on the market.

The scanner is also impressive, offering Optical Character Recognition, or OCR. Resolutions of 1200x1200 dpi are standard with HP J3608 ink, and an enhanced resolution of 19200 dpi can even be reached. The fax machine has room to save 100 speed dials, and it also has a 200 page memory. Busy redial and ring detect also come standard on this machine which can send a fax with transmission speeds of 33.6 Kbps. The J3608 can even dial out calls, acting as a standard phone.

Weighing 12 pounds, it will be easy to move, and the HP J3608's small frame of 13x16.4x8 inches will be easy to fit almost anywhere.
