The HP Deskjet F4150 is a compact all in one with fast print speeds and high resolutions, perfect for any home or small office. This inkjet unit is Mac and Windows compatible and can scan, copy and print documents with high quality. Businesses looking for faxing will need to buy an additional fax machine or look elsewhere because the F4150 has no faxing capabilities.

Connection to this unit must happen via USB, and only two HP F4150 ink cartridges are needed for use. These two tanks are black and tricolor printer ink - containing cyan, magenta and yellow, similar to HP 93 ink. An optional photo Deskjet F4150 ink cartridge is also available, which takes the place of the black printer ink when printing photos or graphics-heavy documents. This special tank contains light cyan and light magenta HP F4150 ink to helps create more precise and true-to-life images.

The Deskjet F4150 ink tanks won't last too long yielding 165 pages for color and 190 for black, considerably lower than competing ink, such as Dell T0529 ink . They are also pretty pricey compared to others on the market. The photo HP F4150 ink yields even fewer pages at only 140 and is about twice the price of the regular tanks. All in all, this inkjet unit won't be an economical choice for those trying to save money. There is one solution for those who want the all in one, but don't want to pay the harsh operating costs - buying remanufactured tanks from a third party vendor. If purchased from a reparable company, these inks yield the same amount of pages and exert the same high quality. For higher volume color printing and lower cost per page, look at the Phaser 8500 which features Xerox 108R00672 ink.

Though costs seem to be a problem when it comes to the F4150, print speeds and resolutions are not. Exerting 20 and 14 pages a minute for black and color ink, respectively, this machine can reach a resolution of 1200x2400 dpi. Though many printers can print pages at a faster rate, many may sacrifice quality to do so. Using the F4150, quality will never be sacrificed.
