Is printing high quality photos as important as standard text documents? If so, take a look at the wonderful HP Deskjet F385. This will make a perfect addition to home offices because it is Mac and Windows compatible and features printing, copying and scanning functions. It only weighs 10 pounds, which will be quite easy to move, no matter who is doing the moving. Another great quality is its small size of 7x16.8x10.2 inches. One thing that might hold some users back, though, is this inkjet unit's lack of faxing features.

For text or regular graphics printing—only two HP F385 ink cartridges are needed. Inside of these tanks, black and color (cyan, magenta and yellow) printer ink is held. A third Deskjet F385 ink cartridge can be purchased if users want to have the highest quality photo prints possible. This tank is specialized for photo printing, and in order to use it, consumers need to take out the black ink and replace it with the photo HP F385 ink tank. Though some may find this to be a hassle, most will find that is very easy to switch when needed.

The black HP F385 ink tank yields 190 pages, while the color only yields 165 pages. The photo ink tank only yields 130 pages, though. These yields are pretty small, which could push some buyers away. However, using either color or black Deskjet F385 ink while printing, a resolution of 4800x1200 dpi can be reached, proving that high quality is worth expensive printer ink.

The ink tanks individually are pretty affordable, but due to the low page yields, owners of this inkjet unit might find themselves buying replacements far too often. However, due to its monthly duty cycle of only 700 pages, many users will find that the low page yields will do just fine.
