The HP Deskjet 1510 All-in-One may not be the most robust or full-featured inkjet model in its class, but it offers a good balance of features and price that makes it a good value. It can print at ISO speeds of up to 7 pages per minute in black and 4 pages per minute in color. It lacks networking options, so it is recommended for personal use, but the cost of HP 1510 printer ink supplies is fairly low.

The 1510 can act as a printer, scanner, and copier, with an emphasis on excellent photo prints, thanks to its 4800x1200 dpi color resolution. With such a compact design, it is a great choice for students, or for a light-duty home office. It measures 6.1x16.7x12 inches, and it weighs only 7.9 pounds with the Deskjet 1510 printer ink installed. This makes it a good fit on a desk surface or other small space.

Of course, its small size and low price tag require a few compromises. It is limited to a media size of 8.5x11.7 inches, and the input paper tray holds only 60 sheets, which means light-duty use is all it can really handle. It includes only a USB port, with no option for networking, though it does support both Windows and Mac operating systems.

The inkjet system uses only two HP 1510 ink cartridges: one black and one combined tricolor supply. High-capacity Deskjet 1510 ink cartridges are a better value than the standard supplies, as they offer 330 pages for the tricolor and 480 pages for the black supply. Remanufactured HP 1510 ink is available from some sellers as a cost-saving alternative to OEM supplies.

For the average college student or home user who doesn't need a machine that can handle high volumes, the HP 1510 is an excellent value for its price. It has relatively quick speeds and high-quality output for a great price.
