HP D5368 Printer Review

The HP Photosmart D5368 offers features above and beyond many competitors. With a 3,000 page monthly cycle and low yielding printer ink, the D5368 would only fit comfortably in a home office or dorm room. It has a small size of 6.2x18.3x9.05 inches, and these dimensions give it the ability to fit nearly anywhere without taking up too much space. It also only weighs 9.3 pounds making it portable enough to move around whenever necessary. Using two HP D5368 ink cartridges (black and tricolor), this inkjet unit can copy, scan and print documents with high resolutions and relatively fast speeds. Two other Photosmart D5368 ink cartridges are also available for photo printing, but these tanks of printer ink are only optional.

Plain, legal, envelope, card, transparency, photo and label paper are all supported by this thermal inkjet all in one. The printer and copier both have the ability to print up to 32 pages per minute using only black HP D5368 ink, and using color 24 pages per minute can be produced. The copier portion also has the ability to copy 50 duplicates from an original document. Using black HP D5368 ink, a resolution as high as 1200 dpi is possible printing or copying, and a resolution of 4800 dpi can be reached with color ink.

One of the interesting and unique features the D5368 offers is its ability to print directly onto CDs and DVDs. It can also connect wirelessly, via USB, via Bluetooth or directly to an Ipod. There are also many memory cards that are supported—MultiMedia Card, Secure Digital, MemoryStick, MemoryStickPro, CompactFlash and xD Picture cards all work effortlessly with it.

The only problem with the D5368 tends to be its low yielding tanks. However, remanufactured versions of the Photosmart D5368 ink tanks are available, making the cost of maintenance very affordable no matter the output rate.
