Though all-in-one inkjet printers are anything but simple, many have features upon features making them stand out above the pack. The HP Photosmart D5345 is one of these units. Offering printing, scanning and copying at fast speeds and high resolutions, the D5345 can fit the needs of home office users easily. It even has a monthly duty cycle of 3,000 pages, which most home offices won't be able to even come close to. It doesn't offer faxing, so those looking for that will have to look elsewhere.

A black and a tricolor (cyan, magenta and yellow) HP D5345 ink cartridge both come standard with purchase. Using the black Photosmart D5345 ink, up to 32 pages per minute can be printed or copied. With color printer ink, about 24 pages can be produced. Printing and copying, the drop-on-demand technology can reach resolutions of 1200 dpi with black printer ink. Using color HP D5345 ink, a high quality resolution of 4800 dpi is possible. Two optional tanks are also offered for photo printing.

Though Photosmart D5345 ink cartridges have extremely low page yields, high capacity versions are available. Buying these HP D5345 ink tanks often will break the bank, so the best thing to do would be to buy remanufactured versions from third party vendors. These will make the cost of ownership more affordable.

This inkjet unit is portable, weighing only 9.3 pounds. It has dimensions of 6.2x18.3x9.05 inches, which will make a very small footprint on any desk. One great feature of this multi-functioning unit is all of its connection options. It can connect via USB, Bluetooth or wirelessly.
